Based in the Midlands and working in the throughout the UK on multimillion £ projects. Our client is looking for certain qualities in their new addition to the well-established team.

Job Description

  • Experience as a Quantity Surveying or Contracts Manager
  • A minimum of an HNC in a relevant field
  • Strong legal and contracts experience
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong IT Skills
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Methodical way of thinking
  • Good knowledge of construction
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Good financial and numeracy management skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiating skills
  • The ability to absorb complex information and assess requirements readily
  • Computer literate
  • A clear understanding of HSE building regulations and legal guideline
  • Extremely organised
  • Commercial awareness
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent time management and working to strict and changeable time lines and deadlines
  • Experience of working on projecs from £3m up to £20m


  • OHSAS 18001 H&S knowledge
  • Experience within the following sector.
  • Education, Accommodation, Commercial, mixed use, industrial, public sector, retail, car show rooms and leisure and healthcare.

THE ROLE: (not exhaustive)

  • You will be responsible for the cost control of our clients Construction projects
  • Subcontract procurement
  • Risk management
  • You will have experience working on a broad spectrum of projects which will enable you to allocate and analyse works to arrange payments
  • You will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, and be able to find innovative ways to solve problems.
  • Review, negotiate and agree T&C’s
  • Address site issues, claims and disputes
  • Review and agree Final Accounts
  • Quotes
  • Debt
  • Change orders and variation requests – issue formal Variation quotations and chase formal counter signed copy from Customer
