We are looking for a Mechanical Electrical Engineer (must be electrically qualified) Install, service and maintenance

Specialising in the supply of bespoke, fully automated, industrial bakery equipment, throughout the UK Bakery and Food Industries. They supply new, used and refurbished bakery equipment, working within small baker’s right through to industrial plants. They are making waves in the bakery world, from designing new kits, refurbishments, repairs and maintenance. This could be in the workshop or on site so there will be UK and European travel, so you must have a valid in date passport and be flexible to be able to work away sometimes at short notice. (Possibly twice a month)
You will be flexible and adaptable, there will be many different variety of machinery some of which you may know and some you won’t so you will need a “can do” approach and be an excellent problem solver.
Responsibilities
• Conduct systematic and rigorous fault diagnosis to accurately identify the root causes of performance issues.
• Track and trend critical assets performance to identify deterioration in output quality.
• Provide a detailed assessment and report of any findings.
• Identify and carry out continuous improvement activities
• Health and Safety (Working within the company’s policy on H&S at work).
• Conduct safety risk assessments prior to any maintenance/repair work.
• Identify potential operational safety risks and take necessary actions to remove hazards.
• Ensure equipment is handed back to production in a safe condition.
• Manage the PAT testing program.
• Quality Compliance (Working within the company’s Quality Management Systems).
• Regularly review equipment SOPs and maintenance requirements to ensure they remain relevant and effective.
• Provide asset and engineering subject matter expertise.
• Liaise with engineering colleagues on a regular basis to communicate equipment status, performance against the required schedule.

Qualifications

• A form of mechanical certification, i.e apprenticeship, or NVQ level 3, or BTEC or ONC etc

Skills
• Relevant experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment or Site Services Role
• Proficient written, numerical and verbal skills
• Good computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft office family of products
• Experience of Maintenance Management Systems & software
• Asset management knowledge
• Proven problem solving, analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Be able to work to strict deadlines
• Able to take clear instruction
• Basic report writing
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Attitude to learn and be flexible when required
• Problem solver
• Proactive approach
• Bakery and or FMCG background essential
• Overcome and adapt
The range of work is so vast it would be very difficult to list the types of machinery you would be working on so this is why they are quite flexible with the experience you can bring as long as you have a good understanding on the FMCG especially bakery.

Holidays
22 Plus Bank Hols, Starts Jan 1st to December 31st
Hours
40 hours a week plus overtime.
Salary negotiable depending on experience
