    We have a fantastic opportunity for a passionate IT Support Technician to join one of our rapidly growing clients. Although a relatively new company, their success is driving their expansion very quickly in terms of clients. This would be a great time to join their team and grow with them! Working alongside their technical director, sales team and other key stakeholders, they are seeking a reliable, energetic individual to provide an efficient and effective service as an IT Support Technician. The successful candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with a broad understanding of PCs and related hardware. You will have a skill in being able to diagnose issues and then to explain technical issues to non-technical users in a way they can understand the problem and the solutions needed to resolve it. You will learn constantly from your workload, challenges, and manager to act independently and propose new solutions. No day will be the same.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • 1st Line IT Support, remote and on-site
  • Maintenance of Windows/ MacOS based systems and including Office 365
  • Expected to carry out a mixture of business as usual and project work for the support desk.
  • Logging, monitoring and escalating of incidents & service requests through to resolution; using technical knowledge, skills and experience.
  • Resolving basic incidents and service requests at first point of contact.

Qualifications required:

  • Proven work experience as a Technical Support Engineer, Desktop Support Engineer, IT Help Desk Technician or similar role
  • Hands-on experience
  • Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other technical products

Skills and experience required:

  • 2 years’ previous IT experience
  • Experience of using remote management and monitoring tools
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills, expertise and past exposure to dealing with a variety of user skill levels
  • The ability to work as part of team with clear and concise communication skills
  • Experience and understanding of best practices
  • Remote access technology
  • Windows Operating Systems including Windows Server
  • Active Directory
  • Office / Microsoft 365
  • Mobile devices
  • Experience of supporting Windows 10 and MacOS
  • Basic Networking including, IP addressing, DNS, Wireless, and Firewalls
  • Flexible approach to work which include out of hours
  • Full UK driving license is a must for the role
