Job Description:- Fire Servicing Engineer
Position Details: Full Time – Permanent
Reports To: Operations Director
Direct Reports: Operations Manager
You will be a dedicated worker, presentable in appearance together with the ability to ensure all
administration is accurate and presented on time as well as excellent communication skills.
The role will be field based, covering sites in and around the Merseyside and North West region. In
addition, it will involve servicing and maintenance work on addressable and conventional alarms,
emergency lighting and a small amount of servicing extinguishers.
? Periodic servicing of fire alarm systems
? Fault diagnosis
? Installation or replacement of fire alarm systems
? Servicing and inspection of emergency lighting and FFE
? Accurate reporting to head office via Engineer PDAs
? Attention to detail and methodical
? High degree of communication and customer service skills
? Ability to work well as part of a team and individually where needed
? Good problem solving skills
The successful candidate will possess the following:
? City & Guilds 1 & 2 Electrical Installation Qualification as a minimum or equal to.
? Experience in servicing and maintenance of Fire Alarms and Emergency Lighting
? An existing understanding of specialized fire safety systems
? Knowledge of BS5839 Part 1&6
18th Edition IEE Regulations Certificate and FIA completed training courses would be an advantage.

Those with experience of working with fire extinguishers and having FETA or BAFE qualifications
would be advantageous. Additionally experience working with Door Access Systems, Intruder Alarms
and Telecare Systems would be an advantage.
Any relevant Health & Safety training including working at heights, asbestos awareness and a CSCS
card is preferred, together with a clean driving licence
