Fire Safety Consultant
UK Based Full time £33,000 – £45,000 (flexible) DOE

Due to company growth, we are seeking a number of experienced Fire Safety Consultant to join our team, delivering a suite of Fire Safety Presentations, Fire Risk Assessments and Consultancy Services to our local and national clients throughout the UK.

Our Fire Consultants are an extremely important and vital position within our business, we recognise this by offering generous and incredibly competitive packages. Our basic salary packages are individually tailored subject to the expertise and experience each Fire Consultant can provide. Whether you have 3 years or 30 years’ experience, we can offer you a fitting and industry-competitive remuneration package. We welcome applicant with all levels of experience and you remuneration package can be discussed and assed at interview stage dependent on your experience.

The main duties of this role will include but are not limited to:

  • To fully risk assess the nominated building as required in both residential and commercial properties
  • Attending appointments to fulfil activity and to attain agreed targets
  • Collating appropriate information, ensuring correct documentation is utilised and providing reports where required
  • Keeping up to date with industry standards and changes to legislation
  • To work closely with other departments as required
  • To validate reports within the allocated timescale
  • Reviewing other colleague Fire Risk Assessments, ensuring that you are highlighting the positives and negatives of the report and providing guidance where required.

We are looking for someone with previous experience in a similar role who is looking for a new challenge within a growing company. Our ideal candidate has:

  • At least 3 years experience working in a fast paced, high volume Fire Risk Assessor/Fire Consultant position
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience of conducting Fire Risk Assessments, working in both residential and commercial buildings is essential
  • You must have a formal Fire Risk Assessment qualification to be considered
  • A valid training qualification or is willing to work towards
  • A current life safety risk register or be willing to work towards
  • Full understanding of the current UK fire legislation and the ability to use fire safety guidance documents
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and time management
  • A professional manner and the ability to communicate effectively with customers
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Due to the nature of the Fire & Security industry and specific contracts, if successful, we will need to complete a number of background checks including a credit check, five-year referencing history and DBS check. All offers will be subject to successful completion of these background checks.
