Core Project Engineer
Risley Full time £37,000.00 – £39,000.00

This position will involve working closely with the National Installation Manager on all projects from inception through to completion and will involve site supervision, man management from time to time and commissioning multi system projects within the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • An all-round knowledge of CCTV/Fire/Intruder/Access/Nurse Call systems undertaking Contractual and Technical reviews of the project
  • Site attendances
  • Commissioning/handover and training
  • Working closely with sales and Install Manager to provide a true end to end project
  • Organise sub-contract labour as required and liaise with our clients throughout the project lifespan
  • To carry out technical audits when requested and complete NSI audits
  • Completing RAMS, Progress reports and O&M Documentation
  • To review completed engineer job packs in a timely manner in line with company procedures
  • Good Time Management is Key, you work closely with the National Installation Manager to obtain the key skills required to achieve this
  • Personal responsibility to ensure systems are commissioned/handed over in accordance with current standards and practices and project costs are delivered in line with departmental budgets
  • On occasion, you will be expected to manage a small team

Who We’re Looking for

Our ideal candidate will have a sufficient level of experience within the fire & security industry and have a strong technical experience of working with small, medium and large systems and projects. This role would ideally suit somebody who has been in a commissioning engineer role previously and is looking to take the next step with a new challenge and added responsibility.

You will have:

  • Extensive experience within the fire and security industry working across multiple disciplines
  • A technical knowledge and background with in the industry and a good, all-round knowledge of Fire & Security Systems
  • Some experience of site supervision and man management is key to be successful in the role
  • You will have the knowledge and the ability to commission small, medium and large multi discipline sites
  • You will be conversant with current industry standards to be able to review and deliver multi-disciplined systems on time and within budget
  • Experience of front-line customer contact preferred
  • You must have excellent attention to detail as well as be comfortable and competent in delivering reports on a variety of projects
  • You will also have good computer skills and the ability to configure software for fire and security system commissioning
  • A full UK Driving Licence is required
  • This is a national role and the successful candidate would need to be comfortable in travelling to sites as an when required. Due the the role being nationwide, we are ideally looking for the successful candidate to be based in The Midlands

Due to the nature of the Fire & Security industry and specific contracts, if successful, we will need to complete a number of background checks including a credit check, five-year referencing history and DBS check. All offers will be subject to successful completion of these background checks.
